Ben Nevis
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK. On a good day from the top of the mountain a keen eye can see the coast of Ireland. The name 'Nevis' comes from the Gaelic word for heaven or clouds. Ben Nevis can therefore be translated 'mountain with its head in the clouds' or 'cloudy mountain'. All year round Ben Nevis offers staggering views to make any holiday maker stop and stare.
